Straight answers about home inspections, specialty services, and what to expect.
Residential inspections start at $325 for homes up to 1,500 sq ft and scale with property size. Specialty services like radon testing, sewer scope, and WDO are available as add-ons. Use our instant quote calculator for an estimate, or view our pricing page for the full breakdown.
A general home inspection is a visual evaluation of accessible major systems and components, including the roof, exterior, foundation, attic, crawlspace, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, interior, windows and doors, insulation, ventilation, appliances, and drainage/grading. Inspections are subject to applicable standards, safety, accessibility, and limitations.
Inspection length depends on the size, age, and condition of the property, as well as the services selected. We take the time needed to inspect accessible systems thoroughly rather than rushing through the property.
Most buyers schedule an inspection during their contingency period, shortly after an offer is accepted. The sooner you schedule, the more time you have to review findings and make decisions.
Yes. New construction inspections — including pre-drywall and final inspections — can help identify concerns while they're still easier and less expensive to address. Note that NexPoint does not perform code enforcement; inspections are visual and informational.
A sewer scope uses a camera to evaluate the accessible sewer line for root intrusion, cracks, breaks, blockages, bellies/sags, and deterioration. Because sewer line repairs can be among the most expensive surprises a buyer faces, many buyers choose to add this service.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas you can't see or smell, and testing is the only way to know whether elevated levels are present. Radon testing is available for $200 with a home inspection or $250 standalone. Test duration depends on the selected testing protocol.
Yes. Crawlspaces are included as part of a general inspection when safely accessible. A standalone crawlspace inspection is also available starting at $75.
Yes. The roof is part of a general home inspection where safely accessible. Drone-assisted roof documentation is available as an optional add-on where weather, airspace, and property conditions allow.
Drone-assisted roof documentation is an optional service. Drone use is not promised in every situation — weather, airspace, property conditions, and safety may affect availability.
Yes. Commercial inspections are tailored to the property type and scope. Pricing is provided as a custom quote based on the property.
Yes. Pool and spa inspections evaluate visible and accessible components including the pool structure, decking, equipment, pumps, filters, heaters, plumbing, safety barriers, and electrical safety components. Starting price is $250.
We evaluate for wood-destroying organisms. An official Georgia WDO inspection may require a qualified, licensed pest professional. If NexPoint cannot legally provide an official WDO report, the service may be performed through an appropriately qualified partner. Starting price is $110–$125.
You'll receive a detailed digital report with photographs and clear descriptions of observed conditions. We prioritize clear, organized reporting so you can review findings promptly.
No. A general home inspection is a visual, non-invasive evaluation of accessible systems. It does not replace specialized evaluations by qualified professionals when further investigation or testing is warranted.
We document the finding clearly in your report with photographs and a plain-English explanation, and we may recommend further evaluation by a qualified specialist. Our role is to help you understand the condition of the property — not to make the buying decision for you.
Yes. Pre-listing inspections help sellers identify potential issues before going to market, allowing time to address them on their own terms.
